This fall, the Lorain County Reads county-wide reading initiative will explore how shared spaces are crucial to how people and communities can form a more unified world. Communal gathering areas such as libraries, parks, churches, and schools can be a catalyst for solving some of our most pressing societal challenges, building more equality, and a more united society.

We are excited to announce the DiscoveryWorks Ambassador volunteer program. This program offers a unique opportunity to enhance the visitor experience, connect and engage with DiscoveryWorks guests, and share the Avon Lake Public Library and DiscoveryWorks story through our exhibits, kits, and programs. Volunteers play a vital role in supporting our mission by fostering a deeper appreciation for STEM learning.
