Story Times

There is NO REGISTRATION for Story Times or Step-up Club. Numbered tickets are available, 30 minutes before each scheduled time. Tickets are picked up on a first come, first served basis each week. You may only take tickets for your child (or children) and yourself.
Story Times begin Monday, January 23
and end Thursday, March 29.
Family Story Times
Babies, toddlers & preschoolers
with participating adult - 30 minutes
Monday: 10:00 am, 11:00 am & 1:00 pm
Tuesday: 10:00 am, 11:00 am & 1:00 pm
Thursday: 10:00 am & 11:00 am
Evening Family Story Times
For the entire family - 30 minutes
Monday: 7:00 pm
Tuesday: 7:00 pm
Step-up Club
4, 5 & 6 years old - 30 minutes Children on their own participate in exciting stories,
music, crafts (may be messy!) games and activities.

Child Care Connection Preschool Kits
Child Care Connection kits feature 50 popular preschool themes. Each kit contains 5 books and a puppet or toy related to the theme. For use by parents, caregivers and preschool teachers. Loan period is 21 days. The original grant was funded by the Gund Foundation. Click here for a list of themes.
Puppet Kits
A picture book and a puppet in a canvas bag. Loan period is 21 days. Funding for the puppets was provided by the Kiwanis Club of Avon Lake.
Games
A variety of board games for preschool and school age children to play with in the Library. Borrow games at the Children's desk.
Computers
Computers featuring edu-tainment and educational programs appropriate for all ages. Internet access and word
processing also available.
Parenting Kits
A selection of books that adults can use to talk with children about difficult subjects. List of Parenting Kits
Scout Information
Boy Scout Merit Badge books and Cub Scout, Girl Scout and Brownie leadership manuals available for check-out.
